Baggett Stadium in The Best Hands

When the baseball boys aren't working hard, the grounds crew is working even harder. Rain or shine they are out there making Baggett Stadium beautiful for Cal Poly fans to enjoy. The groundskeepers work almost 5 days a week keeping the stadium and field up to par. With the rain, working on the field can be difficult but that doesn't mean no work will get done. On this day the crew was working on repairing parts of the stadium that were damaged, like fixing walkways and underneath the stadium seats. With a crew of about 15 men and many machines, they worked hard to get out of there before the rain came down. With the season beginning and opening day just around the corner, the crew is working hard to make the stadium ready.

The slew of trucks and machinery filled the courtyard between Baggett Stadium and the Bob Jassen field.

The construction foreperson looks down on his workers and the progress from a view at the top of the stadium.

The dirt and grime coated on the metal end of the shovel show just how hard the construction crew is working.

The John Deere Loader had its fair share of work today being used the most by the crew to pick up dirt to fill open patches in the cement.

After a long morning of work, the construction worker passes the winding path back to his car, shovel in hand.
